Publication one year ago, by the Dr. Edgar Morin, of convocation for the International Congress of October 2008 in Mexico, awakened across the world strong impulses of intellectual stimulation, as well specialized as citizen. We thank and congratulate this evidence of interest as intellectual commitment, because they are the best indicator of the actual extension of Complex Thinking and its dynamics of operationalisation. (Communications, articles and essays which were sent to us since more than 20 countries of the globe to be introduced during event, particularly, reveal the wealth and depth are efforts led at planetary level for the reform of the collisions of thought and intelligence.)

Unfortunately, and due to an obvious absence of support from the political and academicals context, it has been decided to cancel the Congress of October 2008, and we wait until this moment due our optimism and persistence to mobilize all the possibilities. It’s sure that its amplitude as well as novelty in this part of the world imposes us, in the organization, an academicals rigor which is here impossible by absence of external support, Multiversity Edgar Morin being an institution with recently creation which can’t support all the operative dimension of such event. An event of this nature, in the measure of its involvements in all dimensions, obliges in a collective draft.

We deplore this decision, which nevertheless seems to be the most serious and responsible to be able to continue reinforcing in a lasting way international dynamics of operationalisation of Complex Thinking. (We hope that, as soon as the conditions will be more favorable, we would count on your support to benefit collectively of fruits of your reflexions.)
